Cathy Mary

Cathy A Mary, President

AEC Group’s President, Cathy Mary, has been with the company for 22 years. In addition to serving as the chairperson of AEC, Cathy oversees all financial, marketing, and personnel issues. In an industry with an ever-changing dynamic, Cathy is well respected for her leadership, expertise, and overall ability to further the success and enviable market position that AEC Group, Inc. has enjoyed.

Ms. Mary is a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Industrial Board Appointed by the Governor and also received the 2013 Women of Achievement Award presented by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office along with Celebrate and Share.

Outside of AEC, Cathy is the Chairperson for the 2014 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 65 Roses Sports Auction.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Marty Connelly, Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Connelly is ultimately responsible for all of the facets of AEC Group’s Technology Solutions Division. Drawing from 13 years of experience with AEC, Marty’s current duties include oversight of sales, marketing, finance, contract development, staff management, engagement management/delivery, and customer service and support.

A highly motivated, creative, and resourceful executive with years of experience in IT project management, operations, and business development, Marty joined AEC Group in 2002 after co-founding the management consulting company Structure Solutions, LP. Prior to joining AEC, Marty held leadership positions with a leading IT service provider, Stargate Industries and the management consulting firm Deloitte. His experience with leading system development and infrastructure/data center initiatives for Fortune 500 clients helped to hone his skills regarding the management of people, process, and technology. His combination of skills and entrepreneurial spirit quickly helped establish AEC as one of the region’s foremost Technology Solutions Provider year in and year out.

Outside of AEC, Marty serves on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of Western PA and is involved with the Pittsburgh Triathlon Club.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Jefferson College as well as an MBA from Duquesne University.

Ken Rindt, Senior Vice President

Having been with AEC Group, Inc. for the past 12 years, Ken Rindt’s ultimate responsibility as Senior Vice President of Sales and Strategic Alliances is to oversee all sales and marketing efforts in addition to fostering and managing relationships and business planning with AEC’s strategic partners.

Mr. Rindt joined AEC in 2002 via an acquisition of his company, Structure Solutions, which was a boutique consulting firm focused on IT Project Management. Prior to Structure Solutions, Mr. Rindt co-founded Plus Consulting, a consulting firm focused on the deployment of ERP and CRM solutions. Prior to Plus Consulting, Mr. Rindt worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Coopers and Lybrand as a project manager for application development initiatives and ERP deployments.

Mr. Rindt is currently on the Ingram Micro Data Center Advisory Board, the Citrix Platinum Council, and the Cisco SMB Advisory Board. He has also held positions on the Pittsburgh Technology Council Network Advisory Board, EMC’s Partner Advisory Council, and EMC’s Partner Advisory Board.

Ken received a BS in Management Science & Information Systems from the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University. Ken also proudly served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army.

Brian Lesniakowski

BRIAN M Lesniakowski, Chief Technology Officer

Serving as Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Lesniakowski provides expertise in translating customer system requirements into solution designs and is ultimately tasked with developing and directing AEC Group’s overall technology strategy. Brian is responsible for the long-term direction of AEC’s technical adoption roadmap and solution development as well as identifying and assessing new technologies that serve to augment or replace existing solution sets. In his role as CTO, Brian also manages the Technical Architect team, provides pre-sales support, and issues information necessary for the company’s marketing department to support marketing and sales activities.

During his 14 years with AEC and his tenure as Chief Technology Officer, Brian has found that the continual challenges associated with maintaining a strong awareness and understanding of technology maturation and evolution is the catalyst that makes his position with AEC Group so rewarding. The combination of clients, employees, and OEM partners provides such a unique work environment that never stagnates and offers Brian and his co-workers a wealth of opportunities for professional and personal achievement.

A member of Citrix Partner Technical Expert Council, Brian holds certifications in technologies including those from EMC, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, and Cisco.

Brian serves as a youth hockey coach (Development-Bantam) in his time outside of AEC.

He holds a degree in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University.

Jim Mizia

Jim Mizia, Senior Vice President

A Senior Vice President and Partner, Mr. Mizia has a 16 year history with AEC. James is responsible for the entirety of operational activities within the Technology Solutions Division of AEC Group, Inc. The goal of James and the division is to deliver services and solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations in operational areas that include consulting, project delivery, and issue remediation.

Creating a work environment that is conducive to learning and professional development is of particular importance to James in his role. Through ensuring that all of the members of the Technology Solutions Division Operational Teams are successful, the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction can be attained.

In addition to being a member of American Mensa, James is a Pennsylvania registered Engineer in Training (PA EIT), and holds technologies certifications from Microsoft, VMware, EMC, Citrix, Cisco, and SalesLogix.
James serves as a member of the Noah’s Ark Pre-School Board of Directors.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Mathematics minor from Pennsylvania State University.

ERIC Hutchison, Vice President of Sales

Mr. Hutchison came to AEC in 2001 from Threshold Technologies, Inc where he was one of three founders in 1998. As Vice President of Sales for AEC Group, Eric manages the day-to-day operations of the Sales team while also assisting in the management of AEC vendor and manufacturer relationships. The Sales team and Operation team rely on Eric to assist with customer issues as well.

In his estimation, it is a distinct privilege to work with members of the Sales team at AEC. Eric places an emphasis on continuing to promote the values that have enabled AEC to grow and maintain long term customers.. His expectation for the team is to honestly and respectfully provide customers and prospects with the best possible solution to meet the customers’ business requirements.

Away from AEC, Eric is a volunteer with Peters Township youth baseball, a basketball coach for Upward Bound youth basketball, a member of the Rolling Hills Country Club, and an active member and committee volunteer with Peters Creek Presbyterian.

He holds degrees from Washington and Jefferson College and University of Pittsburgh.
